Hi Everyone,

Normally i was gonna post my Terraria entry today, so i started playing it, but unfortunately game had an error and it shut down and when i opened it back, none of my chracter of the house i built for this entry was there, so i’m not gonna be able to post today, i will figure out what to do with it.

Today, i will share some pictures i haven’t posted before on my blog, some with my friends, from events etc, i hope you like them.

Also couple of days ago, iNoob gifted me a new weapon in game (Thanky ou so much iNoob!), it’s a Minos Dagger and i didn’t have time to post it, so here it’s too (Unfortunately i accidently threw the dagger iNoob gifted me but later Lilli gave me another one, so thank you for that Lilli too). Ladder is Built on English Version of Puppet Guardian!

People Behind the Puppets Volume 12

Welcome to the 12th Edition of the People Behind the Puppets, it’s been totally 3 months since i first started this series and i’m so glad how people enjoyed this in such a short period of time, i’ve enjoyed every moment of any interview i made, so thank you very much for letting me having these interviews and readers! Anyway, this week on 12th Edition of People Behind the Puppets “The Flash of Puppet Guardian” Ryuzo will be our guest, not long time ago he and tinyy made their Paragon Bronze War Hammers, so i wanted to have the opportunity to have an iterview with him and he kindly accepted it, i hope you enjoy it!!! 😀 😀 😀

“Hello Ryuzo, thank you very much for accepting my interview. So, before start, how are you? What have you been doing lately in both real life and Puppet Guardian?

 Hi Hi Rivers! Thank you as well for inviting me in one of your interviews   I’m doing good, though I am a bit busy in RL ‘cause I’m doing a research project as a requirement for this semester T.T.. When I got time left, I mostly go some rounds in Tower III hunting for Emeralds. Everyone is free to join me in Tower III but I would probably be in Tower X ’cause of the new updates lol

 Here the essential question on People Behind the Puppets comes, when and how did you first start playing Puppet Guardian? How did you find this website?

 When I first came across PG was with the help of an ad in FB on Nov. 2009. I was searching for new free to play game at that time and the ad somehow caught my attention. I played it for a week then I stopped because I didn’t find anyone, I thought I was the only player there lol. Then on March the following year I tried again, I found the game more fun ‘cause there were lots more players. On June again I stopped for school reasons, then during the end of November I returned and never stopped playing since then. 

 As an old player, what were your thoughts about changes on Puppet Guardian through this time?

 During my time playing PG there were big updates, which are wonderful, but I am hoping for simple updates like clothing, pets, hair color, etc..

 Picking a goal is always a hard step on Puppet Guardian, so when you set your goals, how do you eliminate ideas?

 When choosing goals I base them on what I want like my scythe for example, I choose to make a Death Scythe because I want 1 and it looks cool XD..

 What are your favorite items and weapons in Puppet Guardian? And can you tell us more about your goals and progress at the moment?

 My favourite weapon in PG is the Death Scythe because, aside from what I mentioned above, it deals a great deal of damage. I got so many goals lol but at the moment I am focusing on hunting more Emeralds.

 What does Puppet Guardian mean to you? How important is it for you and how can you describe it?

 Puppet Guardian is more than just a game to me, it’s a place for me to meet and have fun with friends as well as to learn like how to interact with people not just locally but also to people living elsewhere, it’s also a way for me to improve my English and understand other race’s culture. PG is indescribably important, not that I would die without it lol, it became a part of my life specially the friends I made in-game; PG is a way to connect with them.

 Do you have any memories & players from past which make you smile when you remember?

 LOL, I have so much fun memories with a lot of players, I can’t share all for there are so many XD I’ll just share 1 memory, to anyone who is reading this do you remember the times that we use to play hide and seek while waiting for Season 2 release LOL, it was a fun game and I hope we can do it again sometime 

 The friends who left game, if they were reading this now, what would you want to say to them?

 To all my friends who left, please come visit us sometime, we are very eager to hear from you again!! 

 If you were without all your friends on Puppet Guardian would you quit? Or Would you make new friends? And why?

 Without friends PG would be very dull, but that doesn’t mean I’ll quit. I would probably play less and try to make new friends while hoping for my old friends to return or visit me.

 As an experienced player, do you have any suggestions for new players?

 As what others have said, beware of scammers!! Try to ask other players about trade transactions, which is not allowed XD, if it’s fair or not, or if the person your trading with is trustworthy =D Also be patient, PG is kind of a slow paced game

Huge Update on English version of Puppet Guardian and Magical Rooms

Hey All,

Today, English version of Puppet Guardian had great update, now we have Tower XII and New Quests; however there is some error with quests (Not visible, but still can be made though).

To unlock the the key for Tower 12, 4000 (!) Beastly Beard (Which can be obtained from Tower XI Boss). I was the first one to donate Beastly Beards with total 57 donation, there are also 2 New Lobbies on Magical Rooms, one of them asks for a ruby and other one requires 3 Sapphire to remove the lock, also Thieves Guild now offers Name Change and Rucksack expand with paying gold. Also there is now  a Fight Guild on Magical Rooms which exchanges Medals for items (Dragon’s Talisman, Tornado Scroll, Aegis Shield and Rem Whip).  It means Squire fights are coming, no squire fight NPC yet though. There is also a bug in game, you can get Apollo new lobby onster in your room, took a screenshot for you! You can see them below! Take care and see you soon!!! 😀 😀 😀

Welcome back to the Did You Know series after 1 week with new stories and informations, this week i searched about items, instead of monsters or creatures, this week Witches Broom will be my feature, i searched about it on web and found some interesting informations, i hope you like it…

“Brooms have long been connected with witchcraft, almost universally portrayed as medieval-style round brooms and associated with female witches. Despite the association with women, in 1453, the first known case of claiming to have flown on a broomstick is recorded, confessed by the male witch Guillaume Edelin. There are, however, prior records of witches flying on sticks or similar objects, usually that had been first greased with a magical flying ointment.

Anecdotally, the broom served another purpose during periods of persecution. Witches and other magic practitioners would disguise their wands as broom sticks to avoid suspicion. It is also a tradition that brooms have been used by some as receptacles to harbor temporarily a particular spirit.

Today the broom is included in lists of ritual tools in many pagan guide books, where it is often referred to as a besom. A broom is sometimes laid at the opening of some covens’ rossets. Representing the Element of Air, brooms are utilized in the purification of areas. They are used to sweep ritual circles clean of negative energy. The high priestess or high priest walks clockwise, traces the cast circle and sweeps with the broom a few inches off the ground. This practice can be used in addition to or in place of incense to purify a ritual space. It is often employed by those allergic to incense, and during rituals practiced in smoke-free areas. It is also a technique associated with “kitchen witches” who use what’s on hand to work spells. As a tool of purification, decorative brooms are sometimes hung near doors to clean those entering a house.”

 I’m sure you secretly want a Witches Broom now, well with 99 Straws and 1 Wood Stick you can make yours, well however you can’t fly with it, you can still use it as weapon (!) on monsters with 4 damage and fast attack! Welcome back to another People Behind the Puppets entry after a long break, i hope you missed my interviews with players from Puppet Guardian. So today i’m back for interviews, first guest after this long break will be precious, dear friend Wero! She kindly accepted my interview, so i asked questions to her, i hope you like this interview! 😀 😀 😀

“Hello Wero, it’s great to back to interviews and what’s better is, to interview with you, so thank you very much for accepting my interview and i hope we will enjoy it.
Thank you Rivers for your invitation, Im happy and feel honoured to be here 🙂

So, how are you? What have you been doing lately in both real life and Puppet Guardian?
I recently finished the stressful exam period so I can focus more on my pg goals  🙂 Zoa Golden Axe as the main one gets me to spend a lot of time towering t5 (or just snoozing off there lol). So btw, everyone feel free to join me towering 😀

Here the essential question on People Behind the Puppets comes, when and how did you first start playing Puppet Guardian? How did you find this website?
It was the end of last December (2010) I remember I came back home for Christmas and during one of our late nights chilling, laughing and fooling around with Triel (my sister and former PG player) she once introduced me to the game for fun 😀  I didnt know at that time I would ever become so engaged into this game! But then, one evening led to another and we ended up meeting up with Triel in pg every single day for months while being away from each other..

As an old player, what were your thoughts about changes on Puppet Guardian through this time?
There are of course both good and bad changes that occurred.. Im sad more and more players leave and that with introduction of Season 2 our cosy hanging out T2 lobby dissolved unreversably..

Some time ago you told me that Puppet Guardian was also helping you to communicate with your sister (Triel) who is another player on Puppet Guardian, can you tell us more about it? Who started before and do you still talk on Puppet Guardian?
True, the PG was our way of keeping in touch as we lead our lives far from one another ;.( Looking back, PG tought us a lot how to better understand each other, our feelings and moods; tought us how to cooperate and how to be more patient and supportive to each other; we shared not only all items there but most of all our small and big achievements (those from pg and rl) and sorrows. Sometimes we just spent hours talking bout everything in a lobby and always had lots of fun playing .. those memories are uncountable and will always stay in my heart.. Although she left the game, I feel grateful to have experienced all that with her.. She sometimes still visits me in PG 😀

What are your favorite items and weapons in Puppet Guardian? And can you tell us more about your goals and progress at the moment?
My all time fav would be the unchallengable Halberd! – I love the elegant way you can move with it and how powerful this weapon is. But as you know, Zoa Golden Axe is on my mind atm XD At the same time (as Im often in the dessert) Im synth War Hammers so I hope for Paragon one day 🙂 Then Im also up for jewelry @@ as Im a true jewelry lover and I make it in rl too. I just love some of the designs in PG  😀 As for the progress.. Sometimes I think Im just making circles and should be much more advanced til now, lol

To obtaining goals seems to be harder and harder each day, so how is this for you? Do you feel alone when trying to achieve your goals and what are your expectations from other’s when it comes to this? Maybe not just yourself, but for anyone who has goals…
Yes, the game does seem to speed up a bit with all the awsome weapons players now make.. XD But I think the more items one manages to collect by himself/herself, the bigger feeling of achievement by the end (‘its not the destination that counts but the road that leads to it’)

Do you have any memories & players from past which make you smile when you remember? 
Of course I do! I mentioned Triel many times already (I think to everyone around lols) So not to repeat myself, there are those little moments that stay with you, like e.x. talking to a first person in game.. or the first players that helped you a lot (jinzak and camzy – big thx to them!). Great memory is also the time of Shasura battles where you could see how united we could be with everyone appearing for a battle! XD

The friends who left game, if they were reading this now, what would you want to say to them?
You will always remain in my heart and of course I wish you come back again as this game for me is build on every single character of yours that is unreplacable!!

If you were without all your friends on Puppet Guardian would you quit? Or Would you make new friends? And why?
Thats a difficult one! I remember the biggest loss was when Triel left the game, it all suddenly changed overnight.. I had to reconsider everything, had to make a lot of new friends. Thx to them I managed to get on just fine  😉 Although there are those most significant ones that if they left I would seriously consider quitting I guess.. But we all move on in the end and the time will come to every one of us to continue with our more and more busy lives, but still I hope we would keep in touch in rl

As a experienced player, do you have any suggestions for new players?
Dont give up!! 😀  the game gets more and more exciting with time!!
ow, also – respect other players and they will respect you, remember you are a part of one community.. As one song goes: ‘united we stand and divided we fall’!

What’s Terraria?

“Terraria is an action-adventure/RPG indie game released by independent game studio Re-Logic. The game features exploration, crafting, building structures and combat with a variety of creatures. The game’s slogan is “Shut Up and Dig Gaiden”, a reference to another indie game, Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden.

Released on May 16, 2011, the game is estimated to have sold about 50,000 copies during its first day of release, with over 17,000 players online at the same time during the first day’s peak. Over the course of a week, 200,000 copies of the game were sold, making it the top selling game on Steam for the week. It remained number one on Steam for the first six days of its release before it eventually dropped to the number two slot.”

  HOW DID I FIND THIS GREAT GAME

Not so long time ago, my dear friend Lilli presented me this nice game “Minecraft”, but since my graphics card on PC couldn’t handle it, i couldn’t play this game a lot, but i always wanted to play it, after some time, around my taking break from Puppet Guardian, when i was watching Minecraft videos on youtube, i saw a video of Terraria from one of my favorite commenters on videos ever “Slyfoxhound” and started to watch his videos. Time by time, i liked it more and more, so i downloaded it(www.terraria.org)  and tried and fell in love with the game.

 Game itself however may look like 2D duplicate of Minecraft (Which has nothing to do with Minecraft) really took my attention, game starts on a map with your own designed character and a NPC (Guide).

 So on this series, i’ll post my adventures with my Character “Rivers” every week, my updates, upgrades as well as game updates will be posted here, so if you download or buy game (You can buy from Steam for $5 now! with 50% Discount) , we can host a server and play together, this week, i only introduced game and my character which you can see below, but next week, i’ll start my adventures on Terraria, so get ready for next week and if you get game, we can progress same time, thank you for reading, until next time, take care and see you!!! 😀 😀 😀

Did You Know… #6

Welcome to the 6th edition of the Did You Know series, after a long break, now i’m back with my searches on great legends and stories about the mythology which Puppet Guardian based on, like previous entries, every Monday i’ll post new entries about my searches, i hope you like them.

This week, Did You Know series will feature beautiful Kelpie, apart from it’s existence on Tower XI and dropping Lithe Tail and Sea Creature Fin, we don’t know much about them, so this week our question’s will be answered…

 ” The kelpie is a supernatural water horse from Celtic folklore that is believed to haunt the rivers and lochs of Scotland and Ireland; the name may be from Scottish Gaelic cailpeach or colpach “heifer, colt”.

      The horse’s appearance is strong, powerful, and breathtaking. Its hide was supposed to be black (though in some stories it was white), and will appear to be a lost pony, but can be identified by its constantly dripping mane. Its skin is like that of a seal, smooth but is as cold as death when touched. Water horses are known to transform into beautiful women to lure men into their traps. It is understood that the nostril of the horse is what creates the illusion of grandeur. The water horse creates illusions to keep itself hidden, keeping only its eye above water to scout the surface, much like the illusion of a fish’s pupil. It is wise to keep away from them.

The fable of the kelpie differs depending on the region where it is told. Other versions of the story describe the kelpie as “green as glass with a black mane and tail that curves over its back like a wheel” or that, even in human form, they are always dripping wet and/or have water weeds in their hair.

The water horse is a common form of the kelpie, said to lure humans, especially children, into the water to drown and eat them. It performs this act by encouraging children to ride on its back. Once its victims fall into its trap, the kelpie’s skin becomes adhesive and it bears them into the river, dragging them to the bottom of the water and devouring them—except the heart or liver. A common Scottish tale is the story of nine children lured onto a kelpie’s back, while a tenth keeps his distance. The kelpie chases him and tries to catch him, but he escapes. A variation on this is that the tenth child simply strokes the kelpie’s nose but, when his finger becomes stuck to it, he takes a knife from his pocket and cuts his own finger off. He saves himself but is unable to help his friends as they are pulled underwater with the kelpie.”
